At the heart of every Kumbira event, the Kumbira Masters competitions stand as the pinnacle of culinary and ​beverage arts excellence, drawing the most talented chefs, mixologists, baristas, and bakers from across ​Mindanao and beyond. Branded as the highest level of competition at Kumbira, these events are where ​mastery meets innovation, blending tradition with modern flair.

The Kumbira Masters competitions are designed to challenge the very best in both culinary and beverage arts. ​Whether it's the precise knife skills showcased in the Kumbira Chef Master, the artistic cake decorations in the ​Kumbira Cake Master, the perfect brew crafted in the Kumbira Brew Master, or the creative mixology in the ​Kumbira Bar Master, each competition highlights the expertise, creativity, and passion of the participants.

These competitions are more than just a showcase of skills—they are a celebration of the rich flavors and ​culinary traditions of the Mindanao region, infused with contemporary techniques and innovative ​presentations. The Kumbira Masters are where culinary and beverage professionals push the boundaries of ​their craft, delivering unforgettable dishes and beverages that not only meet but exceed the expectations of ​both judges and audiences.

• Kumbira Culinary Challenge: Regional recipes challenge and various live culinary and hospitality service ​competitions in partnership with the National Food Showdown. Witness the artistry of chefs as they craft ​regional dishes, local fruit preserves, tantalizing plated desserts infused with the rich flavors of local coffee and ​cocoa, and promote the city’s signature dish Sinuglaw through the Barangay Culinary Challenge.
  

• Mindanao Coffee Festival: Staging the 2nd Mindanao Coffee Festival as part of KUMBIRA is a testament to ​COHARA’s zeal in establishing Mindanao as a premier coffee source and destination. Embracing inclusivity and ​sustainability, this festival will celebrate local coffee producers, elevate the caliber of Mindanao coffee, and ​forge lasting connections among stakeholders. Cagayan de Oro and its surroundings boast a thriving coffee ​culture, with over 200 coffee shops gracing our city. A special feature of the coffee festival is the Single Origin ​Bar which presents a FREE taste of a variety of Philippine-sourced single-origin coffees and introduces the ​public to the communities producing them. The festival will also stage three (3) coffee competitions.
  

• Kumbira Talks: Enhancing the educational dimension of the 3-day event, KUMBIRA will present curated talks ​and demonstrations focusing on sustainability and innovations, trends, and experiences related to the ​hospitality industry.
